History and Establishment
Established in 1961, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is one of the premier engineering institutions in India. It was formally inaugurated in August 1961 by Humayun Kabir, the then Minister of Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs.
